1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and 10ten Inc. ("we", "us"), which runs RoundSix. By creating an account, joining a circle or using RoundSix in any way, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use RoundSix.
RoundSix is in an early testing phase (a "beta"). Features may change, pause or be removed as we learn what works.
2. Who can use RoundSix
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must give accurate information about yourself (your name, area and age range) and use only one account.
- You can't use RoundSix if we've suspended or removed you, or if the law doesn't allow you to.
3. Your account and verification
You can try RoundSix without signing up. To keep your circle and people across devices, you save your account with an email address.
To meet people in person (saying "I'm in" to a hangout or joining one through a plan link), you must verify both an email address and a phone number. We use your phone number only to keep RoundSix safe and accountable. It is never shown to other members.
Keep access to your email and phone secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
4. How RoundSix works
RoundSix introduces you to a small group of people who live near you and share some of your interests, helps you get to know each other through daily questions, and suggests a time and place to meet. You can choose to keep in touch with people you click with.
We don't promise that you'll be matched, that a hangout will happen, or that you'll become friends with anyone. Matching depends on who is using RoundSix near you.
5. Meeting people in person
Please read this section carefully.
- We do not run criminal background checks or verify identities beyond confirming an email address and phone number. We can't guarantee how anyone will behave.
- You are responsible for your own safety and for your decisions about whether, where and when to meet anyone. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you'll be, arrange your own way home, and leave whenever you want. Our safety tips have more.
- Hangouts are arranged by members. We aren't a party to them and don't supervise them. Places we suggest are run by third parties we don't control.
- If anyone makes you feel unsafe, leave, contact local emergency services if you're in danger, and report them in the app.
To the extent permitted by law, you take part in hangouts at your own risk.
6. Community rules
Be the kind of person you'd want to meet. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone;
- post hate, discrimination, sexual content or anything illegal;
- sell, promote, recruit or spam, or put links, handles, phone numbers or emails in answers;
- pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your age;
- use RoundSix to find romantic or sexual partners against anyone's wishes, or to contact people who've blocked you;
- collect other members' information, scrape RoundSix, or interfere with how it works.
The full community rules are part of these terms.
7. Your content
You own what you write and upload (answers, follow-ups, photos, plans). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display it so we can run RoundSix: for example, showing your answers to your circle, showing your photo to your circle and Your People, and showing anything you choose to share publicly (like a story card or a question page answer).
Only post content you have the right to share. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission, or any photo of a minor.
We may remove content, or limit who sees it, if we believe it breaks these terms or puts anyone at risk.
8. AI features
Some features are written by artificial intelligence, such as the awards for answers and suggested follow-up questions. To create them, the relevant answers (with first names only) are sent to our AI provider. AI-written content can be wrong or miss the mark. You can report any award and it will be removed.
9. Privacy
We collect what we need to run RoundSix: your name, area, interests, age range, life stage, your circles and answers, your picks and plans, an optional photo and contact details, your email and phone number, and basic usage analytics. We don't sell your personal information. Your phone number and email are never shown to other members. Contact details you add are only shown to Your People.
You can delete your account at any time from You → Delete my account, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains in full what we collect, why, where it is stored, how long we keep it and your rights. It is part of these Terms.
10. Reports, suspension and ending your use
We review reports and may warn you, remove content, remove you from a circle, or suspend or close your account if we believe you've broken these terms, put someone at risk, or to comply with the law. We may also cooperate with law enforcement where required.
You can stop using RoundSix and delete your account at any time.
11. Fees
RoundSix is free during the beta. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you before you're charged and they'll come with their own terms.
12. Disclaimers
RoundSix is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that RoundSix will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or about the conduct of any member, in the app or in person.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, 10ten Inc. and its people won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other members or third parties, in the app or in person. Our total liability for any claim relating to RoundSix is limited to the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited.
14. Your responsibility to us
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that 10ten Inc. incurs because you broke these terms or the law, or because of your conduct towards other members.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as RoundSix changes. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using RoundSix after that, you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and we agree to the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
